Sung Kang Ho will never do me wrong! The Host was AWESOME. Aside from the introduction, the premise appears fairly simple... It's a "monster" movie but develops into a whole lot more by the end. The amount of social commentary, and how the director mixes it with the plot really makes this film. If you can't pick up on it, a) your probably a dumbass and b) then you will definitely not appreciate The Host. I think this one is DVD worthy.
Some "trivia" AND the start of social commentary courtesy of Wiki: the introduction of the Host was inspired by this prior incident, back in 2000, where a USFK (US Forces Korea) civilian was charged for dumping 60 gallons of formaldehyde into the Seoul sewer system (mfer!).
